40 Hour Vacation Cash Back Guidelines

Please refer to County Policy # 306 for the guidelines to cash out 40 hours of vacation. 

Administrative Day Off (ADO) Leave Code: Z290

On March 8, 2022, the Sacramento County Board of Supervisors authorized American Rescue Plan Act (ARPA) Essential Worker Pay for eligible permanent employees. Such authorized pay will be in the form of either a lump sum payment of $1,500 or administrative leave (40 hours) in two separate installments for employees who performed essential work during the pandemic. APECS members should have received the first installment of 40 hours on their April 15, 2022 paycheck, and the second installment on the July 22, 2022 paycheck.

The ADO hours will expire on December 31, 2024.

Negotiated Administrative Leave Code:  Z291

APECS negotiated Addendum #4 to the 2006-11 contract, to include a total of 64 negotiated administrative leave hours that do not expire.  The hours must be used before leaving County employment or lose them.
